Wolfgang and I go into how scientists and their political handlers systematically underestimate the size of climate danger, and how fast it is approaching. We delve into the Tipping Points and the Self–Reinforcing Feedback Loops, but also the darker sides of the human mind, and how to handle fear.

A reaction to Malcolm Light
Humanity is facing the final, western corporate capitalist, fossil fuel initiated, catastrophic Arctic methane hydrate destabilization and Permian style methane blowout – firestorm … – Malcolm Light

Abrupt climate change leading to near term human extinction is a tragedy. Let us develop this drama step by step to dis-cover the gold.
Since ancient Greek drama tragedies follow a special plot. I’ll take Macbeth as an example.

Tragedy is like strong acid – it dissolves away all but the very gold of truth.

Shakespearean tragedies follow these rules too. I’ll take Macbeth as an example.
Similarity (Mac…) to actual persons is purely coincidental.

Mass Extinction!
This is too big for you?
You don’t know how to handle it?
I thought I’d look at extinction through the lens of hospice. They know about dying. And then you scale it to a planetary dimension: a planetary hospice. I planned a series of interviews about how to prep for extinction.
I knew, that Midge and David are involved in hospice work. So I have asked them to have an interview. They both agreed, but they preferred to answer in written form. The results are two great, personal, wise and touching letters. After reading their thoughts on hospice and extinction, I have to admit that it doesn’t work that way with the planetary hospice.

In the Arctic the drama of abrupt climate change is coming to a head.
It is obvious, that this drama has an impact on the whole planet. But in the public media it is ignored largely. Therefor I have begun to bring up this painful subject and I have published some podcast episodes and blog articles. This is a kind of condensed summary of this work.

Welcome to my new website, with a new host, new WordPress software, with a new design and my new domain fasterthanexpected.one, xwer.de is still working, too. My new host One.com is specialized on blogs with a WordPress content management system. It will be faster loading the pages and has a lot of space for nice pictures.

I have deliberately used the combination of the words „prepping“ and „hospice“. Prepping means preparing for collapse- or war-situations and it aims at survival. Some people understand that survival means to be as autonomous as possible and to save one‘s skin, at gunpoint in case of need.
But if we consider it as an ecological and climate disruption we are in a global hospice“ situation. Not survival is the aim, but to leave this planet with dignity, respect and in a bearable way. That‘s my view. Others might want to knock off each other.
